Welcome to our GP dispensary. This leaflet provides important information about our
dispensing services and how you can access your medication.
Who Can Use Our Dispensary?
Our surgery can only dispense medication to patients who live more than 1.6km from a pharmacy. If you meet this criterion, you are eligible to collect your prescribed medication directly from our dispensary. If you live within 1.6km of a pharmacy or request not to use our own dispensing service, you will be issued with a prescription which can be dispensed by a pharmacy of your choice. This includes your repeat prescription.
Dispensary Opening Hours
• In Person:
o 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
o 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• By Telephone:
o 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
• Lunch Closure:
o 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM (closed daily)
Medication Collection
Medication can be collected between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM
Monday to Friday. Please ask a member of the reception team if you are unsure.
Repeat Prescriptions
For repeat prescriptions, please telephone 01226 765300 at least 72 hours before the prescription is required. Repeat prescriptions will be processed and ready for collection wherever possible after a full 48 hours – not including the day of ordering.
Prescriptions for drugs which have been authorised as a repeat prescription by the
doctor may be ordered:
• By posting your right-hand side with required items ticked and placing it in the
postbox by the dispensary hatch.
• For housebound patients, by telephone between 12 PM and 1 PM.
• By post (please enclose a self-addressed envelope if you require the
prescription posting back to you).
• Online, using the NHS app, or other web portals such as Patient Access.
During opening hours, our friendly dispensary team is available to assist you with any queries regarding your medication.
