i-HEART is a free service which provides clinical advice and access to appointments with a GP or Nurse during evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

When you contact i-HEART a Clinical Advisor (a Nurse or Paramedic) will conduct an assessment and if appropriate arrange an appointment.

We offer advice in five ways:

Receive an appointment with a GP or Nurse at one of our medical centres, conveniently located throughout the Barnsley borough. You can book an appointment at a time suitable for you.

Our team of experienced Nurses and Paramedics are ready and waiting to help you. Need a same day appointment, advice on self medication, or general support? Call 01226 242419

Need general advice? Our medical staff can answer questions via i-HEART’s email service. To send a direct message, simply visit our website: www.iheartbarnsley.org.uk

Our video consultations enable our Doctors and Nurses to conduct virtual examinations from the comfort of your own home. You may be offered this service following your initial assessment.

Our website provides a wealth of resources and useful information to assist you with common symptoms. You can also arrange for a member of the i-HEART team to contact you via email or request a call back.
